MSC Military Discount, does it include Veterans

On all other cruise lines I have sailed the military discount has included veterans even though it stated active and retired military. Is MSC the same? Will they honor DD214 from serving during Vietnam?

Although the post from the MSC website above didn’t say specifically Veterans, I am an Iraqi Freedom Vet and was able to get the military discount, for myself and the 35ish people I’m cruising with. I had to send my MSC agent my DD214, they reviewed and approved. It was a really great touch!

Works for all veterans US and Canada. I had my TA submit the paperwork for me. Have sailed MSC 3 different times and each time she had to submit the paperwork for the discount but it works.....

Would this discount work for a widow of a WWII veteran.

I got the military discount when I booked my cruise and they gave me a higher military discount when I upgraded my cruise to Yacht Club. I though that this was generous as some other lines only offer the discount on select cabins and or sailings.

Thanks everyone for responses. I booked yesterday with MSC and she automatically gave me the discount and sent me an email to send her a copy of my dd214. Worked out great!

I do not think it is combinable with the Loyalty 5% discount, so you have to take one or the other...Of course a 10% Military is a no brainer. As others said all it took was a copy of my DD214

No, I was told you could only use one. Not both.

Not combinable, but 10% military discount on balconies and above. Maybe more for YC; I have no idea. It's 5% on regular inside and ov.
