I tend to get up ridiculously early. Do you know if there is any way to get coffee at, say, 5:00 AM

24-hour self service in the lido. Not gourmet (but good enough for me) but when you want coffee you want it.

Coffee on the Volendam is without a doubt the worst I've ever tasted. While I see lots of folks drinking it, and drink it myself, only Buddy the Elf could really love it. It is available at 5am for sure (that's usually when I start skulking around), but I don't know how much earlier.

When my DW cruised, I filled a thermos with hot coffee in the Lido Market before I went to bed for the evening so that she could have coffee at 4:00 AM as soon as her toes hit the floor.

Room service delivery doesn't start until 6am, so Lido would be your only option earlier than that. And as others have mentioned, Lido coffee is not top notch by any stretch, but I'm fine with it, and it has caffeine! ;)

Room Service-they give you a huge carafe of coffee-more than I could ever drink-especially if I was going on a shore excursion without many pit stops.

Love the thermos idea. Would the room service carafe keep coffee hot all night? Could you possibly reuse one all cruise and fill it yourself?

Our experience is that exceeding two hours with a Room Service coffee carafe would leave warm coffee. Vacuum thermos is the way to go for a good 11 hours.
