I emailed the matre'd on Pride two weeks ago. nothing back. is that normal?

Yes. The maitre'd is not required to respond to any email. With that being said, I have emailed them and gotten my request granted. You can go to the MDR on embarkation day and check with the staff. If there is a problem with your table, they will usually work with you to resolve it.

For best results, email within the 2 week window leading up to your cruise.

I e-mailed Desmond in Feb, Mar and Apr and got a response within hours...Requested same table and not a problem!

  • 4 weeks later...
I requested the same table I had on previous cruises on the Pride due to location.

We do the same. Traveling with kids, and one with SPD, we found a table that works very well for us and we will be request each time!

That is correct, they are not required to email back. On my last cruise, the Maitre D told me that they are getting bombarded with requests as they carry about 12000 guests a week across the fleet and they will put in place a program which sends any pop 3 email ( hotmail, gmail) directly into the spam folder. It apparently has gotten out of control.
