Enchantment 3 night Bahamas Cruise Semi Live Review June 1-June 4.

Recommended Posts

Essential Nassau cont'd: Next we were taken to Atlantis! He told us how expensive some of the hotel rooms were. The suite in the bridge is $25000 a night with a minimum 4 night stay! We got to walk around the Coral Towers and then gawk at some of the yachts parked there and imagine what life would be like to own one...e5cc3bb1f2920f1aa487c5b3f9c077c0.jpg38cb6cb65f3b41730617a438576da424.jpgd151e8f8978611ea247b24da50f12e00.jpg07686bfbf81d7bc8e5e4ba7603cf96b8.jpg1d65e1d2d6e4646e9f2d2280786f6211.jpg

Thank you for following along! It was fantastic but my husband and I are in agreement that 3 nights is not long enough!!

Thank you for posting this. We’re doing a very similar cruise on Enchantment in January from Port Canaveral. We were going to be in Orlando over new year anyway so it seemed rude not to!! It all looks fantastic!!

Essential Nassau Cont'd: Next we were taken to Ft Fincastle which was built in 1793 by Lord Dunmore to protect against invasion. You will also see the Queen's Staircase which contains 66 steep steps that they originally built as an escape route from the fort. We would have climbed down and back up but it was 4000% humidity and we decided not too. The fort is lined all around with straw markets and locals trying to get you to buy things. Sorry we forgot to get a picture of that. 99a4d038e41ebc158e19afb73511efe8.jpg1eb6cb278af549df0a420edb93c70f2e.jpg0adce0c76db2d17bd7b1b4f0e6d639d4.jpgf16129ca78487bce05c4f93777d3009c.jpg13abaedb71c1515218ba32fea7a7257f.jpg

Essential Nassau Cont'd: Next we went to a rum distillery! They handed out shots of pina coladas at the beginning, we had a a 10 minute tour of the facility, then ended in the bar where I had a VERY strong strawberry daiquiri. 3ae4b4d3579971349efd2adbe9f6fb24.jpg8894f36831821164ee83975b42215ba5.jpg68c543413b91291217c709fbc3ecfad2.jpgcbc9a318217f346af3f77d9226ee4f8b.jpg1773a1c50f5e86dbaafad742094ae944.jpg

Essential Nassau cont'd: Lastly we stopped for some lunch. Our guide suggested a hidden away place. We think he may know people who work there. Ha! Tried fried conch for the first time. It was pretty good! The calamari looks a little different than we are used to seeing also! ee3e7b95f96e7a236af870476e76185d.jpgb6b904b7b5f337a14e04016ffe03340c.jpg5592a6f73890e5ad6f9bf216a53ed4ac.jpg

We had dinner in the main dining room tonight, sat at Iurii's table again tonight. He is the best! The appetizer was the calamari. I started eating before I remembered to take a pic! Main course was the chicken marsala. My husband had the spaghetti. Dessert for me was the creme brulee. 202be53f9dc094e05d7947d7e0cfb70d.jpg2419d1ca9cf6e85052f4928fba71302b.jpg0974e8e344730a3754fb01b7c53b6a11.jpg0c16f6e6d4a94bc80dd162e89d2daa43.jpga16422212f034003fd3c64930aff9377.jpge8eeaf286bca1d4d2feae833ca24f68e.jpg

Tonight we watched the Parade of Flags in the Centrum. It was really good!! And of course ended the night with the Quest, the adult game show. If you've never been, just go. Its hilarious! 1cea4232907e61856c91a1239ea13004.jpg9d0d0e923af597cb88f6574fbd257b7f.jpg2fd2d0c36175e73afd6465703a8f1dcb.jpgc2b0dfd4c2ee19144320189808c93a8e.jpg520322ce63201f5aa727c26aca0acad0.jpg

Party foul! What happens at Quest stays at Quest! I'm glad I had my fun at quest long before youtube and smart phones were popular.

Mostly kidding, most people have seen shots like these. Thanks for posting all the pics. I'm looking forward to trying this ship out for the first time in 100 days.

They also recognized the cruiser on board who had the most cruise points. Super Mario!! Determined to get a pic with him tomorrow.e65382fe5819adf3bb573a15ec7bc798.jpg

I know Mario lives on the ships, but I find it funny that we just saw him when he boarded the April 29th Rhapsody sailing (and we know he stayed on-board for the TransAtlantic). I didn't think he changed ships so quickly.

Although I've only sailed nine times and I've already seen him on-board on three of those cruises.

Debarkation morning: we decided to do self assist so we were up at 6am, to the Windjammer for breakfast (the busiest I had seen it all weekend), then back to the cabin to collect our belongings.

We went to the Orpheum at 7:30 with our bags. By 7:50 we were outside the cruise terminal and waiting on our uber. We did not have to fill out any customs forms. Just present our picture id to the agent.

We are staying in Miami one extra day today. So hello again from our hotel room in Miami! 6421c38c46b60f69d8d90d662cf3b5d1.jpg56a3228bde52ba5d2fdea53d9117b152.jpg

Here are a few more random pics from the ship.

Impressions from the ship for us: it was a GREAT cruise. We have decided 3 nights is not enough. We loved Cococay and Nassau as they were our first time for each.

The food in the windjammer was good and the main dining room was amazing. Ask for Iurii in the mdr. He was so nice and remembered our names from the first time we met.

Our state room attendant was Mallapa. On the first day he stopped to ask if we had any requests. We never really saw him much but could always tell he had been there.

Overall the crew was so nice, friendly, and helpful.

Was there some rust on the ship? Yes, its an older ship, but in no way would that ruin our vacation. If youve never tried Enchantment do it! She is a great ship!! 9adeb3f4280ea1a9997b10429d752390.jpg34bafbc09bedbbe7b34139ca29cd0f51.jpg6266516f32e3ad0fdfd8fe3b2b2731f0.jpg03eeb76f74940f680608b3439e1b3631.jpga07fe10152e70b4c88e7e7c54281f6e6.jpg4b2f29474ad84bb9907d765d49958fca.jpg

Great trip report, thank you!!!! I'm sailing on Enchantment out of Port Canaveral in April 2019 and can't wait! Looks like the pier at Cococay will be ready for us by then! Thanks for the pics and menus....I'm going to show my husband and son so they have an idea what to expect on their first-ever cruise!

300 hundred days I see. I will be on Enchantment for my first time in about 100 days, I'll report back on the pier at Coco Cay.

The pier should definitely be done for you by then. Cococay is so fun!

They let him speak after saying he had like 7000 cruise points or something crazy like that. He said he has cruised on Enchantment 100 times and cruises 50 weeks a year. He jokingly said "What do I do with the other 2 weeks? Go on vacation! " Haha. 8c642ad590c5768aff58dc5953cba8f0.jpg

Rain today in the northern half of the state, but one or two more cool days left. Thanks for the Enchanting preview.

What did you observe for attire on formal night? I know what the dress code is, as written, but I would like to know what people actually wore. Please do not turn this question into a discussion about the policy and what it says. I am slightly surprised that on the 3 and 4 night cruises, they have a formal night. DH will pack suit and tie if that is what the majority wore, but my instincts tell me he would be in very small group. Thanks.

Formal wear was not enforced on this cruise. A guy walked in before us with shorts and flip flops, and I witnessed a teenager with headphones on the entire dinner. I did not see any tuxedos or formal gowns either.
