For those staying overnight in Barcelona I can highly recommed this company for a food tour. We did the Picoteo Tour and it was great. The locals don´t drink Sangria but Tinto de Verano. You can see lots of photos of the tour we did here.

 

 

And for gelato... there´s nothing going over the Gelateria di Piazza by Sergio Dondoli in San Gimignano. We even drove there for the gelato two weeks ago from La Spezia.

Yeah!! We were on this 10 day sailing as well! Can't wait to follow along and relive my vacay :)

I called the whole trip sensory overload so I enjoy going back to the pictures remembering the vacation.

 

Someone at work made a comment that he knew a lot of people that said Barcelona was their favorite city in Europe.

Time for the piano bar. Most nights they did not start until 10, the first night it was 9. I think it would have been much better if they started at 9 every night. I understand the reasoning because of the steakhouse but seems like poor planning by Carnival.

After closing the piano bar, time for room service. Philly cheese steak and donut sandwich. I can’t believe I did get another donut sandwich, it was so good.

We went on RCCL Vision of the Seas on May 2nd from Barcelona.

I so loved that city. Probably my favorite overall. Great photos so far.

Our first night in Barcelona we ate at Recasens, a 110 year old restaurant right near where we were staying in Poblenou. Loved the Rambla there - less crowded and better food and prices.

Sigh. Can I move?

Monday April 30, Sea Day. Happy birthday to me.

 

So, after the prior night I did not get up at the crack of dawn. We had yet to meet our stateroom steward, she knocked, we met her and she asked about morning,evening or both service. Thinking about sleeping, I said evening only, which was a first. In the future I would do either mornings or both. It was odd coming back in the middle of the day with the room untouched.

 

Booking the cruise it fell on my birthday, and I thought what a great present to my self.

Thermal suite.

 

I pre-purchased the spa pass online and I think it was $20 cheaper. I enjoyed it but thought the pool was that it was too small. I believe it is the same size as on Vista. I heard the reason was due to the IMAX theatre. On Dream and Breeze it was in its own room and much bigger. On princess and NCL the pool is in the same room as the loungers but the pools were much larger.
