Steakhouse.

 

We had dinner at the steakhouse with new menu. I missed the escargot. We saw the art of the table at several tables, interesting but not for me.

Since it was over an hour until the piano bar opened, I ate all the food, chocolate and champagne, and tomorrow was going to be a long day I decided to call it a night.

 

Back to room for towel animal and platinum gift, which was a blanket.

How was the stone massage? Worth the cost? [emoji848]

 

 

 

I enjoyed it. Aromatherapy oils, heated stones. Afterwards more relaxing than having massage at home and then being back into grind of obligations and commitments.

 

I guess everything is relative. For me yes, we normally don’t do a lot of going out, massages, etc. in real life so we save the money and do whatever we want on vacation. I like the stone massages and though you can get cheaper on land, I like doing them at sea.

Tuesday May 1-Florence

 

The MDR started a Port day breakfast that was supposed to get people out quickly. Sounded much better than the buffet on lido.

When we were going to Florence in 2011, it was on a Monday, so we went to cinque terre. I had been to Florence before but my husband had not. I thought I would be able to go back to Accademia, but it was a holiday. Guess I will have to plan another trip.

 

 

We did 4 tours with Joe Bananas. I liked the smaller groups and thought they were more personalized. This tour was Florence, Pisa and a wine tasting in Chianti. The van we had in Florence had WiFi and was configured more comfortably than the other 3 days.

Since some places were closed the lines to enter the town and churches were long. We had a couple of hours and didn’t want to wait in line and have to leave without getting in.
