From reading Motegi's Travelouge and someone mentioning that they got the right term and it wasn't a "review" I try to satisfy all and doing a TraView!

 

Got to Newark with few issues other than Halitosis Harry behind me on one segment hacking a lung and bad breath every 1.5 minutes. I guess that was to prepare us for Newark. Been to Newark many time and well...Newark is Newark. We did try a different hotel and it was well...Newark. We did find a new restaurant that had pretty good food - Napoli's - and they deliver.

 

It sounds like concierge will be David Contrerez (sp). Not to be confused with out last trip out of NYC with Ruth the contrary concierge. Or in Borat terms - Ruth the Concierge - NOT! It wasn't that we asked her for anything, she just stayed at her desk and did do much.

 

Off to the terminal in a couple hours as we see the ship is in port.

Various pics from DBH around 8:30 last night. NCL ferry from DBH asleep for the night.

 

Haven has upcharge item - who knew. Beef confit - very good.

 

Day 5 and after telling Glenn on Monday about missing Lat's wine it is still MIA.

 

Spice had movies last night.

I'm glad to see they are using a different ferry. We had the Elizabeth, and she took a full 90 minutes to get to St. George's.

1. Food upsell option in Haven? Does anyone know if that's the new normal for selected meals?

2. Where did you get that shrimp? It looks terrific.

Dexddd, you got excellent pictures from that Canon DSL camera-like iPhone ... with some of the mouth-watering food porn at FR, I guess we might need to plan a raid upon it when it's our turn & cash out some of our OBC against the charges, besides - menu items are different. IMHO, more preferred than those in the often deserted Margaritaville. How would rate these compared to MSC, knowing that food opinions are highly personal & subjective.

 

How was your Tappanyaki with the prawns & steak ?

That NCL ferry looks nice & big, do you know its pax capacity ?

 

Still waiting for your Latitude sparking wine ?? Maybe, just tell your butler ... oops, nevermind, not really worth the trouble - are you going to "gift" that away to someone onboard, not flying home with that :evilsmile:

Got the ship on live Port Bermuda Webcam, folks lining the pier's walkway, making their way back to the ship and the Summit next berth over. What a beautiful, sunny Friday afternoon.

 

Are you going to be out on the forward balcony to watch for those late pier runners ?

 

Have a wonderful ride back, the week go by quickly ... fill in the details afterward, enjoy & have a wonderful time onboard, coming back just in time for Father's Day. Got your disembarkation details worked out or shall we see if meatball_nyc wish to be a partner on the lookout ... but, you aren't rushing off the ship to hightail over to the airport, right ?

Fully agree with the prices they are charging these days, but business is so good they will keep pushing the boundaries.

 

Next they will put the lobster tails that were included on the menu as a surcharge item. Last I had seen, they were supposed to add them back to the menu, but don’t see that happening now that they are adding surcharge items.

Dockyard's camera has been sweeping and not seeing any runners, nor see the mini-bus or golf carts racing for pickup ...

 

Oh, no ... that's not good, Always sad to know that someone missed the ship, with their belongings & travel docs handed over to the port agent for custody.

 

Just lookup Google flights for one-way fare back to NY tomorrow, lowest is like $375 p/p - ouch, plus overnight lodging, etc.

 

Let's hope they'll make it back & someone took the port agent's # and called back to explain the whereabouts, and, the ship captain will give them a little grace period to get back & wait. Not all NCL ship captains do that - they will leave on the dot.

 

All the lines, ropes & what not are still not loosen yet, Willie's crew on the pier aren't on standby yet @ 3 PM BDA time ... There is a gathering on the Waterfront - doing lookout.

 

Things on the Summit side of the pier are quieting down too, most managed to get back early/on-time with these overnight visits.
