yaksarefunny Posted June 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Our cruise docks at 8am in Port Canaveral and we do not fly out of Orlando until 10:30pm. We will be renting a vehicle. What are some recommendations for what to do for a day? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
JohninDC Posted June 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Kennedy Space Center, beach, downtown Disney (or whatever they call it now). What are you interested in? I would also look at www.resortpass.com for a day pass to one of the big hotel resorts - enjoy their pool and facilities for the day before heading to MCO. teknoge3k Posted June 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2018 I'd probably do KSC ($). You could do SeaWorld ($) or just go to Downtown Disney and walk around and shop/eat. You could also go to Universal City Walk and eat and hang out.

KnightsFan Posted June 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Kids or no? If there are kids that changes a lot of your options. Craft beer or no? Central Florida has a thriving craft beer scene, you could set up your own bar crawl between Port Canaveral and MCO. Active or no? Kayak the Indian River, or rent bikes and do the West Orange Trail (end at the Plant St. Market in Winter Garden for food and beer). You could also enjoy one of the many natural springs in the area (if you can get in, they fill up fast during the summer). Regardless of what you do, if you're flying out of gates 100-129, I recommend getting there with plenty of time to stop at Cask & Larder. It's a local restaurant that moved into the airport, they have their own beer and highlight traditional Florida food.
