DiverDown67 Posted June 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Anyone know how to request a small table, or better yet, a table for two, in the MDR? You used to be able to request this during booking, but I can't seem to find a way now.
coevan Posted June 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2018 if you have YTD, no problem

BoDidly Posted June 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Usually you can just check after boarding .The norm is to have request taken at the MDR . Let it be known that two tops are not really two tops this day and age . More like twelve tops with a slight spacing between them. If you're really wanting a two top the ship may have that . Just be sure you request a private two top. Good luck with the Heald thingy. ;p

If he is not on at the time questionable whether he will see your request
Wheels87 Posted June 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2018 No need to contact anyone other than the ship's Maitre'd. Simple google "Carnival Dream maitre'd" (fill in whatever ship name you want) and you will find the correct email address. They are all along the lines of drmaitred@carnival.com. Email them two days AFTER the previous voyage started (the voyage before the you are taking) and make your request. Include your cabin numbers and names and assigned dining time, etc. Don't worry if they do not respond...they usually don't. Good luck!
jordanaire Posted June 26, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 26, 2018 If you try to email the Maite 'D you probably will not get a reply back. I never did. Your best bet is to go see him/her immediately after boarding and check then. They always set up in front of one of the dining rooms around 1pm or so. JMAE Posted June 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Emailing always worked for me. They are not required to reply, but some will.

Wheels87 Posted June 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Simply email the Maitre'd. It has worked for my last 20 cruises. Every single time. Good luck.

teknoge3k Posted June 27, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 27, 2018 If you have YTD you just simply walk up and ask for a table for 2 and that's how you're sat.
vamartha Posted June 28, 2018 #14 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Opt for YTD. And we add that we will wait for a booth. That does allow for a bit more privacy than the 2 Tops generally allow.
