Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina

A little reading around the board will find dozens of threads on the Hilton. No, it is not on the beach. It is pretty popular as being right next to the port for viewing the cruise ships. There are a number of restaurants within relatively short walking distance.

We have stayed 3 times so far. We book tower rooms and we are quite pleased with them. They have a section East Wing(?) that does not get great reviews.

Close to the port, a few restaurants around (love The Boatyard), a Walgreens not too far for last minute toiletries and a water taxi stop. We do enjoy the location and are booked for this coming January

I have stayed here twice and found the hotel to be great for a pre-cruise stay. Loved the fact it was within walking distance to the Water Taxi, close to the pier and has a great pool area.

I agree 100% with this. Get a tower room, not the marina( low rise)

For those who have stayed here and cruised out of cruise terminal across the street, were you able to just walk over on embarkation day or did you have to take a shuttle or taxi?

Sort of depends upon what terminal your ship is at -- in general I would opt for an Uber or taxi to avoid the traffic.
