Your few - past- assignments, have- nothing to do with the future.

A guarantee is going to be any open cabin.

It's more than a few past assignments. It's also the experience of many I have traveled with. I did not predict the future nor did I make any guarantees. I just related my experiences.

Why so snarky?

I sail often with family members in different cabins and just ask the t/a to make sure reservations are "linked", and every time the cabins are next to each other or in same hallway and just stick my head outside cabin to see the others. Remember the cruise line doesn't want you to come back on this board complaining about something as simple as that, easily within their purview to make good.(hope i'm not jinxing myself.)

You have simply been lucky.

Fact based,- unless you have hundreds of examples,, every month-it is - few. "Many"- which means what? Interesting name calling to support your claim.

It was before assignment of cabin. When making reservation I explained to the t/a the situation and they say "ok, i'll link your reservations but no promises". And this was with my kids/young adults, happened many times, Luck? I don't think so. If they have two GTY cabins next to or very close they will assign it like that.
