Mariner in september

She must have a passport, a ID might have been enough in the past when the cruise would have gone to Canada but even for such sailings this would not be sufficient anymore

 

PS: The Bahamas are not part of the USA :D

Does my granddaughter (9) need a passport for a bahamas cruise or can we use a birth certificate?

If the cruise starts and ends at the same US port, and your granddaughter was born in the US, then a certified BC will suffice.
