Door decorations on the getaway

We always decorate our doors....just remember to use a magnetic hook or command hook. Nothing invasive such as tape, staples etc... and nothing that plugs in. We have never had a decoration taken down by the crew. Had 2 stolen on our last cruise though. We have these adorable custom banners that we found on etsy and usually get one for each day and change them out. It is fun and makes it easier to find your cabin after a long day of drinking by the pool and then the casino.

Have fun and be a trend setter.....decorate!

I've never been on a cruise where I didn't see many doors that were decorated. Some do it to celebrate a special occasion and others do it so they can find their cabin more easily...like putting ribbon on a piece of luggage. The doors are magnetic so it makes decorating convenient. We don't decorate, but I do bring a magnetic clip in case I want to post a message for my DH or vice versa.

I hope you enjoy your first cruise.

Use a very simple plain magnet if you are going to use one. Flash ones seem to attract the wrong sort of person!!!

Does anyone know if Fridge Door magnetic tape will support an A4 page on the cabin door? If so how long a piece?

I was told by crew members that they don’t like paper items or tape and they are supposed to remove them if they see them. Whether they will or not would be the question. But magnets and cloth or vinyl seem to be okay.
