I got a call from the upgrade fairy for my upcoming cruise on the Horizon in December. It only cost me 56.00 to upgrade from a cove to a balcony on the 9th floor.

I have cruised in a cove twice and we really liked it. Just thought I would do something different this year. Never had a room this close to the Lido.

Congrats on the upgrade!! I have sailed a few coves and some on and near Lido. They both have great things to offer. That's a great price to upgrade

They called three times over the last 6 months for my Horizon cruise on Dec 1st.

Received my first upgrade offer after 18 years old sailing with Carnival. They wanted me to pay over $1,900 to move from my extended balcony to a junior suite for our September cruise on Miracle. Needless to say, I declined. Could have booked a suite for that price my self, I didn't just fall off the turnip truck (as my mom used to say)!

We had that upsell as well on Magic a few months ago. We kept the cove and I’m so glad we did!

I think the phone ones are the ones that are good. The emails are junk, imo.

 

 

We got an email that would let us upgrade from a balcony on lido to a suite. For exactly what if would have cost if we booked a suite in the first place. Gee, thanks. lol
