Sju summit question

I think you are referring to the Luggage Valet program. It is not offered in San Juan.

Many take their luggage to Barrachini restaurant in OSJ. They have stored luggage without complaints as far as I know for over 15 years.

And to be clear, if the luggage valet program was available they would handle your luggage from the ship through the airport check in so that you would only handle it next at your final destination baggage claim. But as mentioned that service is not available in San Juan.

They don't have a luggage valet, but they do have two excursion that take you to old San Juan, allows you to walk around (one is on your own, the other is guided tour), holds your luggage and later takes you to the airport later. We have booked the San Juan on your own with airport drop off. We had a lot of OBC and this imo put some of it to good use :)

The Own Your Own is 29.00, the City Tour is 44.00. Our flight is not until 6:00, so we opted for the old San Juan on your own "Excursion".

There is also a restaurant that will store your luggage if you wish in OSJ, Barrachina.

What sailing are you on? We sail November 10 2018. This will be our third time on the Summit, both prior to her receiving the last refit/dry dock that incorporated the outdoor TV lounge.

For future reference with Celebrity, on the east coast it is offered only at Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Port Canaveral with Air Canada, Air Tran, Alaska Airlines, American, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, and United. And the airlines can vary by port as well as flight departure hours that qualify. You would have to check on board for details and to request this option.

This!

We are on the Oct 21 repo from Bayonne to San Juan. We booked the city tour with airport transfer. Wendy is correct on the price. Looking forward to seeing Old San Juan! :)

We did this last year on our RCCL cruise. I would recommend using taxi cabs, rather than booking the excursions. It's a lot cheaper. We even looked at private excursions. It turned out to be cheaper to have a cab take us to Barrachina, then pick us up later and drive us to the airport. Just remember that SJU airport is a madhouse. Leave WAY more time than you would at any other airport. LONG lines. SLOW service. Barrachina has a room where they store your luggage securely. There is no cost, but they do expect you to tip. The food there is excellent and I'm sure the luggage storage service brings them plenty of restaurant customers. Very worth it to tour OSJ if you have time. It seemed untouched by the storms, unlike the Condado area. We had a lovely day there before our flight.
