I thought I read somewhere that you can use your Latitudes points on another cruise line. Does anyone know?

Not sure what you mean here, but there is no benefit for using points to get a cruise except when you achieve the top tier and get a free cruise.

You can use your Lat. status (not really points) on MSC. If you're Platinum, they give their highest loyalty level which is Black Card.

You can status match your latitude tier points with MSC cruise line. We are platinum on NCL and when we status matched we ended up being black (highest tier) on MSC. You also get a 5% off discount off your cruise when you status match. MSC also gives a 5% military discount to inside and oceanview cabins and 10% discount for balcony and above. But the 2 discounts are not combinable.
