cruisingn09 Posted August 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I am looking to insure my b2b cruise and am asking for your opinions. The insurance company is Nationwide and policy/plan name is titles luxury cruise. Your thoughts? Second, because I am booking prior to final payment and outside original payment guidelines, the cost of "cancel for any reason" is not included and costs an additional $55. Should I purchase this? I do not plan to cancel unless for medical for self or in case of a death of a family member. Your thoughts and suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. TheOldBear Posted August 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Have you asked this over in the Cruise/Travel Insurance forum? https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
Rare sparks1093 Posted August 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Does the plan offer the coverage that you feel that you need? If so then it should do the trick. I personally wouldn't pay extra for CFAR coverage, once I book a cruise only a covered reason would keep me from going.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2018 If only costs an additional $55 for the "cancel for any reason" -- buy it.
greatestvalue Posted August 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I too would spend the $55 on the cancel for any reason. Simply peace of mind
donaldsc Posted August 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2018 A cost of $55 for cancel for any reason sounds too cheap. Make sure you read the fine print or have it explained to you before you buy it. DON
jlp20 Posted August 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2018 All these policies are comprised of a multitude of clauses of coverage. The trick is to get a policy that has all the coverage you need and not pay for something you don't need. Be sure policy covers: Medical, standard U.S. policies do not cover you once you leave the country. Evacuation, you did know that if you get really sick or injured they don't want the responsibility and set you ashore. Cancellation, be it hospitalization to just a change of heart.
