kittymadam Posted August 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2018 I've read somewhere that Concierage class can request a later disembarkment time, as late as after lunch. Does anyone have experience with this or know anything about it? It would be great if we can find out how late we can dimembark. Also, do we still have access to our room? Apologies if this has been addressed in another thread. Read through 3 pages of threads regarding Conierage Class & didn't see anyone mention this topic. Thanks in advance for your insight! Orator Posted August 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Never heard of this perk. In some ports you can pay for the Extend Your Stay option. They request that you leave your cabin by 8:00 am so that they can get it ready for embarking passengers.
mandream Posted August 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Just got off the Silhouette last week in concierge. We were offered the flexibility of choosing debarkation time BUT it was within the standard window of 7am to 9am (still requested to be out of cabin by 8). As Orator mentioned, on some sailings, extend your stay is offered for a fee - but this is separate from concierge class. Mike
Rare cruisestitch Posted August 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Staying on the ship late is not a Concierge Class perk. In some non-US ports you can pay for Extend your stay, but anyone, in any stateroom can do the same in those ports.
Luvcrusn Posted August 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Others have stated correctly that you are requested to leave your cabin by 8:00AM. Concierge class passengers have a separate lounge (usually Qsine) to wait for disembarkation where continental breakfast is served. (fruit, juice, coffee, tea, pastries) You will be off the ship by 9:30-9:45 at the latest unless your cruise offers you the option to pay extra for an extended stay. That is a per person charge, you won't have access to your room, and it's not offered all the time. It isn't a Concierge Class perk.
leaveitallbehind Posted August 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Keep in mind that boarding the ship for your departure will typically commence at about 11:00 AM. To facilitate this, the ship has to have cleared customs with all passengers from the previous itinerary off by about 10:00 AM. This would be the same for the itinerary following yours, so remaining on board later than that typically cannot take place. I have heard of arrangements for a later departure for a fee, as mentioned at non-US ports, but it is not a perk offered by stateroom category.
