kmezz Posted September 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2018 Are there any charges if you walk around the grounds and don't climb the tower of Pisa? If you do climb it how long does it take?
CruiserBruce Posted September 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2018 Nope, free to walk around. Can't answer about climbing the tower.
Rare 4cats4me Posted September 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2018 Climbing is at your own pace. My husband climbed in mere minutes, poked around up top, took his time descending, maybe one-half hour total?
Rare cruisemom42 Posted September 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2018 They let people in with timed tickets at half-hour intervals. There is no one telling you that you have to exit at the end of the half-hour, but that's about the time most people seem to take. If you do want to climb the tour, it's advised to reserve your time in advance as they only have so many tickets....

Rare ollienbertsmum Posted September 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2018 Nope, free to walk around. Can't answer about climbing the tower. And the Cathedral was free to enter, we still had to get timed tickets and had to wait about 30 minutes (lunch time in November) It was lovely just sitting outside admiring all the buildings. We were in no hurry and had been up the Tower on a previous trip.
