jow623 Posted September 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2018 We are taking a Princess cruise with airport transfers. Does anyone know which airport in Buenos Aires they would be bringing us to at the end of the cruise? thanks
fishywood Posted September 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2018 Can't imagine it would be other than EZE. Are you looking to book a domestic regional flight from AEP to Iguazu or to elsewhere in Patagonia? You'd be pretty much on your own for the transfer, however AEP is less than 15 km (9 miles) from the port vs. the 45 minute drive (if no traffic) to EZE. casofilia Posted September 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2018 My guess would be EZE the main international airport.
TheRabbit Posted September 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2018 My guess would be EZE the main international airport. That is where we came in with Princess transfers in 2016. We also used AEP to go to Iguazu.
jerry f Posted September 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2018 In January of this year we sailed on the Emerald from Santiago to Buenos Aries. Our West Coast flight on Delta through Atlanta did not leave until 8 at night or so. Our transfers took us to the airport and we had about an 8 hour wait until our flight. Booked through EZAir. Long wait in the terminal.
lj77346 Posted September 7, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 7, 2018 If you have an evening flight out of Buenos Aires, I would suggest that you consider getting a day room in a hotel in Buenos Aires rather than taking a transfer to the airport that might get you there 8 hours or more before you can check in for your flight. When I went through EZE last year, you could not check your luggage for your flight until about 2-1/2 hours before the scheduled flight time. As you can't go through security until your flight and gate gets posted on the departure board, there is not much in EZE before security so it's not a good place to have to wait for hours. Staying in Buenos Aires for the day gives you the option to tour around the city a bit or just relax in the hotel. The hotel can call a cab to take you to the airport and if I remember correctly, the cab fare was around $40.
jerry f Posted September 8, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2018 Buenos Aries was an overnight on our cruise. A tango show with lunch excursion was offered both days by Princess. We did it the first day. Lots of people did it the second day and the busses took them to the airport. They arrived with about a 3 hour wait for flight time.
