St. Croix

I haven’t been able to find much information on the Port Reviews about what to do in St. Croix and we will be there tomorrow. Does anyone have a favorite beach, shop or restaurant we should visit. Thanks.

There is a beach near the pier. Quick walk past port control, bear left past the market area. Not the greatest but makes it easy to get back and forth to the sc hip. Chairs and umbrellas for rent.

There's a nice beach just south of Frederiksted where RCCL ships typically dock. It was about a 20 minute walk, a mile or so, or a 5 minute taxi ride.

Rainbow Beach, 10 minutes ride north of Fredericksted. Great bartender and rotisserie chicken being roasted right on the beach, delicious.

We did that nice and close with nice bar

Area where ship docks is a long pier....old fort, shabby area of Fredikstad.. with a bar /grill and very few stores...we did find postcards, that's about all...

 

You should probably go to one of the suggested beaches or find a nice excursion. Next time we'd go to the forest....if we ever had to go back here,,,

 

We did a snorkel excursion all the way on the other side...long boring bus ride...to .another city Christianstad which is a bit less shabby but not great either.

Snorkel crew was excellent but was a long boat ride out to snorkel site.... conditions were rough and challenging

We went to Sandcastle several years ago. It was one of my favorite port days, and I'd love to go back.
