exploring0426 Posted October 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2018 Doing a cruise in December that goes to Nassau. What is the best beach, not too far from the port I can take a cab to?
cruiseapril Posted October 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2018 The best beach, in our estimation, is Cable Beach. One can get a cab to this beach about 5 miles from the cruiseport.
mjkacmom Posted October 22, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Depending on the surf on the day, we like cabbage beach, on paradise island. Cable is calmer, cabbage seems deeper and has more waves. I believe it’s a few miles away.
BNBR Posted October 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Cable is better than Cabbage. Depending on your budget, you may want to consider a day pass to the Melia which is fairly inexpensive. That way you'll have pools, chairs, and nice facilities to enjoy the beach.
jdg623 Posted October 30, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2018 We like the British Colonial Hilton, an easy walk from the pier. Resort for a day offers reasonably priced day passes that include a generous food/drink credit, use of all facilities, chairs/umbrellas etc. Beautiful, clean, private beach with spectacular views of the ships.
