RCCL Approved power strip

This is directly from RCCLs web site. Not a very long list at all. It indicated ham Radios, at one time it also included Walkie Talkies. Not on there now. As for power adapters, any kind not mentioned only extension cords.

By the way. I never took on on a RCCL cruise. 

What items are prohibited onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship?

AWeapons, illegal drugs, and other items that could interfere with the safe operation of the ship or the safe and secure environment of our guests and crew are prohibited. The following are examples of items that guests are not allowed to bring onboard. These and other similar items will be confiscated upon being found. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, flammable liquids, explosives, and dangerous chemicals will not be returned.

Prohibited items:

• Firearms & Ammunition, including realistic replicas.
• Sharp Objects, including all knives and scissors. (Note: Personal grooming items such as safety razors are allowed. Scissors with blade length less than 4 inches are allowed.)
• Illegal Drugs & Substances
• Candles, Incense, Coffee Makers, Clothes Irons, Travel Steamers & Hot Plates. (Items that generate heat or produce an open flame. This includes heating pads, clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard. NOTE: The only exception to this policy are curling irons and hair straighteners. Matches and normal lighteners are allowed onboard. However ""torch lighters"" and novelty lighters that look like guns are not allowed onboard. Torch lighters emit a powerful concentrated flame, and therefore are prohibited.
• Hoverboards
• Illegal Drugs
• Martial Arts, Self Defense, and Sports Gear, including handcuffs, pepper spray, night sticks.
• Flammable Liquids and Explosives, including lighter fluid and fireworks.
• Hookahs & Water Hookah Pipes.
• HAM Radios
• Baby Monitors
• Electrical Extension Cords
• Dangerous Chemicals, including bleach and paint.
• Alcoholic Beverages (Note: On boarding day, each stateroom may bring up to two 750 ml bottles of wine or champagne. Guests who purchase alcohol bottles onboard, in a port-of-call, or bring more than the two permitted bottles on boarding day, will have their items safely stored by the ship. These bottles will be returned on the last day onboard for enjoyment once home. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned.)

Exceptions can be made for the following sporting goods; however, the item must be stored in the guest’s stateroom and cannot be used onboard.

• Baseball Bats, Hockey Sticks, Cricket Bats, and Golf clubs
• Skateboards, Surfboards, and Bicycles

I have taken it on a few ships and never needed it. Stopped taking it till this cruise. It was on the Celebrity EDGE which has outlets in a small box facing up. I have a square night light glows. Looking at the picture of the box I thought it might not fit into this box. Otherwise I have no use for it on any ship. By the way. The night light fit and I did not use it.

FYI Carnival spells it out very clear.

·       Multi-plug box outlets/power boards are not permitted on board. However, should you require a multi-plug box outlet/power board, please ask your Stateroom Steward who will be able to supply you one for the duration of your cruise.

Yes, I did read your previous posts on this thread.  I even reread those posts, before replying to your "packing one in you luggage" post.  The post I quoted stated that you "pack one in your baggage".  No where else in this this thread do you state otherwise.

 

Short answer, do you or do you not pack an extension cord or surge protector in your luggage?  In both cases it is a simple yes or no answer.

I've always packed an extension cord with a 3 prong.  Two on one side one on the other.  They provide me with a big long extension cord for my CPAP.  I plug mine in and use the other two for a small fan and my phone.  

Only once did I have to go to the naughty room to explain the fan was a needed medical device to help cool me.
