San Francisco transfer to ship

HI -- Our flight gets into San Francisco at 9:30 am.  We were thinking of doing the Princess transfer to the ship.  Has anyone done that?  I will be getting over a total knee replacement and want to be able to board the ship easily.

Having done Princess transfers in the past, there is sometimes delays and hanging around waiting until the bus is full etc.  We just took a cruise out of San Francisco and we used a taxi.  Straight forward drive and the taxis pull up right to the entrance of the cruise terminal.  It was very simple.

For ease in your case I would do aTaxi or Uber/lyft.  They are always readily available at SFO.  It will save you the wait while Princess loads it’s bus and a car should be easier in and out than a bus.

Do you remember what the cost was for the cab?  The transfers for two on Princess are $58, a private car is $119.  Frankly, every cruise we have been on has been just jump into a cab and that seems to be the best plan.  Just have not been in San Francisco for many years.

If you have the uber or lyft app on your phone; you can do a mock booking and it will tell you the price

I remember a taxi being a fixed rate from the airport to the pier right around the Princess rate. Uber would be a little less. It's very easy to take a taxi/uber, and with a bad knee it would be easier than a bus. Princess buses may hang around the airport for other flights to arrive, and/or just to kill time to get you to the pier at a specified time.

We used Supershuttle earlier this year and worked fine
