The precruise casino chips and slot offers were on my precruise planner for the past several weeks and now today 66 days out it has disappeared. Are they doing away with it since it was there and is now gone?

Are they doing away with it since it was there and is now gone? I put an offer for the Brilliance on 1/31/19 in my cart when it first appeared, but never checked out. It stayed there for weeks, but had a notation that it was no longer available a few days ago, about two weeks prior to sailing.
Robinhill Posted January 23, 2019 #453 Share Posted January 23, 2019 Actually i just checked all three cruises i have booked, one the end of match, one in november and one next february and none of them have it offered anymore yet i had seen it for each of them up to a couple weeks ago. That makes me think they may be stopping the offer so those of you that have it are fortunate that you already got it!
somerandomidiot Posted February 9, 2019 #454 Share Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) this promo is perfect for craps. after watching how they are used last week, i wish i'd bought a bunch of them for my future cruises. i didn't realize before getting onboard that you are allowed to use them for every bet, not just the ones with even odds. so you can use the promo chips for all of your bets and presses and your winnings you take in real chips. works great since you know from the beginning all your bets will be lost at some point. this deal gives you extra chips to play with and you get 4.5% back on your credit card. i bet it wouldn't be hard to run through 20-30k in chips in a week. The problem is you can only buy 1 package per person so you wouldnt br able to run through 20-30k promo chips. Biggest package is 2k and I went through them in an hour playing blackjack Edited February 9, 2019 by Wolffie89
Robinhill Posted February 10, 2019 #456 Share Posted February 10, 2019 i can't even find this anymore on my three booked cruises- the earlies of which is in 49 days. It was there two months ago- but not anymore. Also not for a cruise in 149 days and 325 days. Are they doing away with this feature?
PigsCanFly Posted February 10, 2019 #457 Share Posted February 10, 2019 I contacted Royal folks asking about availability of this on our next 5 bookings and I was told I needed to keep checking on the cruise planner to see if it shows up. We used the promotion on our Jan Grandeur sailing. We liked it. So they want me to keep on going to the cruise planner pages. Hmmm, I wonder if they have other reasons than having me check for the free play availability. It seems that whenever I visit cruise planner, I get an email the next day reminding me I visited and should complete my shopping!

0mzzz Posted February 14, 2019 #461 Share Posted February 14, 2019 Not surprising given how easy it would be to play the tables at advantage. I did not expect this would last.

I did not expect this would last. I'm sure that wasn't the problem. The problem was complaints about getting different answers on shore (so to speak, prior to a cruise) versus on boat with regard to how betting/cashing in promo chips work. Every person from Royal that I talked to prior to sailing indicated after making a wager, my promo chips would either be lost (if I lost) or turned into real chips as part of the payout of the win. This is opposite of how they did it at sea in the casino after committing to the program. There is a small difference between agreeing to wager $2k versus agreeing to lose $2k (or what ever level you bought it at)
FireEMT978 Posted February 14, 2019 #463 Share Posted February 14, 2019 My thoughts are that while the Table/Chips offer was such mass confusion. The slot credit promotion was very easily handled. In the LEAST, I wish/hope that they will come back with the slot credit promotion again soon.
