Vision of the sea vs. Fastenation

We are looking into a southern Caribbean cruise. The 2 choices available when we can go are the RC Vision of the Sea and Carnival Fascination.  I know they are both older smaller ships but does anyone know which is better? We are an active couple with a 13 year.  We have only been on Carnival in the past.

I think service and food will be pretty even but as far as the beauty of the ship, I think Vision is much nicer.  Fascination is a very gaudy ship.  Vision is old but I think she's beautiful.  I'd pick Vision.

Never been on Facination but have been on Vision 4 times and another booked.  Absolutely love her.  Just the right size and the Solarium is perfect.

Carnival and Royal are equally fun ships, I would go with the itinerary and timing that suits you better, if they are equal then price may determine which is better.

Has anyone been in cabin 8545 on the Vision of the seas? Was it ok? Any bad noise problems?

Have been on Vision many times and will be on her again in May but have always opted for the aft....You might be concerned with #8545 and possible noise from the Centrum.

I spent 38 nights on Vision Of The Seas. I love RCL Vision class ships.
