riffatsea Posted December 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2018 We've never cruised before in December and this is also our first Princess cruise. I don't know what tv stations are available on the in room tvs and wonder if college football bowl games might be shown somewhere on the ship(Coral Princess) during the cruise?? It will not be a major catastrophe if they are not on but I thought I'd ask since DH would enjoy seeing them!
neverbeenhere Posted December 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2018 Yes some will be on the tv. Which of the 50+!bowls are you hoping to watch?

He watches pro football too but really prefers the college tournaments.
neverbeenhere Posted December 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2018 ESPN and/or espn international feed are the usual suspects. But also may get a Fox, NBC feed for games too. Panama Canal Cruise can lead to a whole lot of Partido de futbol on the old tube.
caribill Posted December 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2018 Some bowl games as well as pro-football games will be shown on MUTS, often to the unhappiness of those who want to watch movies on MUTS.
rwilk1129 Posted December 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2018 Just off Regal yesterday and unfortunately they did not show Alabama/Georgia SEC title game on Saturday. ESPN showed the UCF/Memphis game but that was only college game shown. We were onboard in January for National Championship game and were able to watch Alabama win it on Regal. karabear15 Posted December 3, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2018 I've watched plenty of Bowl games while on board. If they aren't playing them on MUTS, check out the sports bar, or possibly in the casino. I'll get to watch UF beat Michigan this year in the Peach Bowl...it is right during embarkation though, so I'm not thinking it will be on anywhere and will have to watch it from my phone. -Kara
triple7tahoe Posted December 3, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 3, 2018 On the ships that had a separate smoking area-bar they used to have many games. I think the Coral has a Churchill's and that used to be a sports bar. Should have most bowl games.
Cobra427SC Posted December 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 4, 2018 unfortunately, at least on the Royal, they didn't have Fox Sports, so I didn't get to see my alma mater beat up on our arch rivals, The University of Michigan! s
adonisr Posted December 4, 2018 #10 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Since ESPN pretty much has a lock on the bowls, you should have no problem seeing them. ESPN is on the ships TV and at the bars on board.
