And a lot of people are writing their posts in the quoted box so it’s impossible to work out what was quoted and what is their response.

That was sometimes a problem in the old system as well.

One can download different "theme" plugins in most browsers. Chrome, for example has a High Contrast plugin that offers several options that might make it easier to distinguish the various components.

Much worse in the old version.  I find quoting much better now

Just now, Pushka said:

I’m only noticing it this time.

Back in the day, when you quoted someone you would have access to as ll the code that identified the post and member you quoted.

It looked something like this

/john&lala, 965000/enter comment here/

Then you would type a response and hit enter.

It was much easier to screw it up by deleting the formatting.   Now it's fairly foolproof

Not troubled by that problem.

But there's an awful lot of bits that are in such faint grey that I can barely see them.

For instance on threads where I've contributed the bold blue circle is replaced by a super-faint star.

Or in my case, a  blank canvas instead of a bold blue star.

Mebbe I need to go see an optician, but I'm sure that a lot of folk made similar comments on the now-deleted bugs-and-glitches forum - and didn't Jenn post on there that it was on her "to do" list?

BTW I won't say that the repeating log-in/log-out/log-in problem has gone away - because within an hour of my last saying that it re-appeared. :classic_rolleyes:

But the half-dozen threads on the subject that dominated this forum for a while have slid down the page, hopefully to never re-appear.

Still hate the new format, but learning to live with it

Hi John -Are you still using a pc or laptop using windows 7

If so there are a couple of things you can try.

First one I ran through and it made a big difference its
a bit like being at the opticians or setting up a printer.

OK   go to Start  ( bottom left corner)

find Control Panel

Right column  -  appearance  & personalisation

click on the heading  At the bottom    Fonts  -   at the end

 "adjust clear type text"
Click on that
On the page that comes up   put a tick in the box  or if already

ticked follow through by clicking next.

If you end up not liking what you get  go in again and untick the box.

There is another setting in  the "Ease of access centre"
2 sections up from "Fonts" where you can change the contrast
(Turn high contrast on or off)   Maybe try the last one high contrast White.
