The travel agent we are speaking to about transferring our reservation to has offered a $50 beverage card as their perk, we have the explore 4 as part of our package. Could we put the $50 towards a quench package for the kids?

You could definitely use that beverage card to buy the kids drinks.  The Beverage card is good for any type of drink - alcoholic or non alcoholic.

Applying it to a Quench package would probably depend on the ship and the Beverage staff.

But, if you activate the beverage card and then don't use it, you'll have $50 OBC which could, in effect be used to help pay for the Quench package 😉

When you transfer to another TA -- are you still able to keep the Explore4?

Yes, usually everything is transferred as is.  I transferred from HAL to my TA and everything remained in place 😄

"Safest" approach would be to call HAL and ask - IMO it's wise to get answers to questions such as yours from the party (HAL) that "controls" the outcome.

We did send off an email, but we have seen numerous times on CC what head office says and what happens on the ships are sometimes not on the same page. Just like the SBP the agents on the phone are  adamant you get 15 drinks total, where many on the board are reporting on different ships they get unlimited non alcoholic drinks and 15 alcoholic drinks are counted.

I agree with you 100%.  Things can vary ship by ship and Seattle agents are not often aware of what the variations are 😉

Just curious, what was HAL's response to your e-mail?
