Automatically marking forum read?

Before the update the forum would get automatically marked as read once I left the site now I have to manually press on the mark forum read button.  Is there a way to switch it to automatically marking the forum read?

I haven't found a way yet. I do like the new feature though because sometimes I don't read all of the forums in one sitting so I can come back later and pick up where I left off.

No, you have to manually mark it read.  I find this one of the best features of the new platform. In the past, sometimes I would get logged off my mistake, and all the forums would be marked read, which was a pain.

 

However, I understand how it would be nice to have that as an option, like the ability to turn off the photos on the right side of the page.
