shrimpboat123 Posted December 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2018 There is no Wi-Fi, but one time I did notice a Cell Tower and I did receive a signal on my iPhone. IIRC the provider was Bahamian Tel.
Rare richwmn Posted December 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2018 passing on research info - someone posted on Trip Advisor that they got service on their Verizon phone. That may show some promise.
Rare POA1 Posted December 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2018 We got service on T-Mobile from Bahamas Tel. Watch my Live From thread tomorrow. We'll be there and let you know. In 2016, I had service both on the island and on the ship. I had to go out on deck to get a decent signal, but it was pretty good. IIRC, the signal was better on the side of the ship facing the island.
Crusinsusan2 Posted December 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2018 This may or may not be useful for your upcoming but about a year ago we were there and had a pressing call to make while on the island and were able to do so. Our T-Mobile alerted in the Bahamas while sailing at sea with no land in sight and I was able to text and send a picture to Facebook. Never got to test my original question as we couldn’t anchor or tender at Half Moon Cay.

We received the courtesy text letting us know the price of calls and that texting and data were free. DW might have texted someone. I'm not sure.
