Roller coaster on Mariner

We're booked on Mariner's world cruise in 2021, and I'm wondering if it has a roller coaster too?

Depends on the weather.  Given the right amount and direction of wind, the entire ship will coast down the rollers.

I have read that some of those mega ships have skating rinks too.   I cannot imagine skating with any sort of wave movement...seems really silly to me!

Having formerly been a skater, I would imagine this might be quite fun, but only in quiet seas! And given that I gave up skating to preserve my knees and hips, I would imagine that they'd need an orthopedic specialist onboard!

The Voyager is docked today in San Juan next to Carnival huge ship and RC Symphony of the Seas. They have Disney World beat. Basketball courts, water slides, rock walls, many thousands of passengers. Glad to be on Regent.

Surprised that you don't hear music blaring from the ship!

Ken was quite a skater - member of the SCNY in fact.  Got me to the level of the Dutch Waltz and no further.  But on a rolling ship???   I would be sliding from one side of the boards to the other!

Most interesting thing on-board I've experienced, was playing bocce on top deck of the Viking Star in the Baltic. Most interesting game ever!!  finally had to close it down as our balls kept going overboard or rolling down the deck. My thoughts on some of these new "attractions"-- if you wanted to skate, rock climb, roller coaster, I'd think there are lots more cheaper to indulge yourself. Course, I'm still searching for the on-board shuffle board!

I believe that shuffleboard is on the top deck.  I only know that there is one there because there are competitions beteeen the officers and the passengers listed in Passages.

I’ve mentioned on a different board just how much fun these attractions can be.  The cars on NCL are a blast.

While we will likely never see a roller coaster, cars, a climbing wall or skating rink on Regent or Oceania, NCL and other mainstream cruise lines have lots of fun things to do. If you stay in The Haven on NCL, the experience is not as bad as one would think.
