Hotel before cruise

We are departing from Barbados. I am looking for a place to stay for two nights between the airport and the dock. Doesn't have to be fancy or even on the beach. But I don't want loud music late into the night and it would be great to have some dining options close by. Any ideas? Thanks...

A thought

If just looking for basic plus type of accommodation then consider The Palm Garden Hotel in the Worthing area of Barbados. It's clean and simple, with everything you need nearby.  Also they will value your business.

Enquire for prices/book direct with the hotel.

Thank you for the suggestions! The Palm Garden is more in line with what we were thinking- old school Caribbean. Is that the area where they were having sewage issues last year? I understand that has all been fixed now, correct?

As of last week, appears all fixed.

.

That is correct.

When Government changed in late May 2018

it was their number one priority to fix that crappy problem!

Within just 2 wks. or so, there was no more sewage to be seen.
Makes you seriously wonder WTH the previous administration was doing!

Oh btw, Island Inn is old school: been around since I was a child!

Aplmac: So let me ask a related question...When we were in Barbados on a cruise, we went to Bathsheba and loved it... I see that there are a couple of inns/B&Bs there. I started looking in the Worthing area because I was thinking that the taxi would cost too much from airport to Bathsheba and back to the dock. Do you have any wisdom to impart about that??

Worthing is a lot closer to the Port!

If you're just overnighting before a cruise, Bathsheba is a bit far out

unless you're prepared to spend for the taxi!
