Beachvue Posted January 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2019 Will be disembarking a Viking transatlantic Cruise mid April and doing the post extension stay. Any recommendations for tours in and around Barcelona? Want o maximize our short time. We are a group of 4 and would be interested in private tours. TIA. SbbquilterUT Posted February 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2019 We really enjoyed the Taste of Barcelona walking Tapas tour as well as our city tour with Barcelona Day. Fabulous city to walk and explore. We did get early admit tickets for Familia Sagrada and were so glad - we entered the church early and could really see everything. Later it was so crowded we could hardly move.
erby2283 Posted February 5, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2019 Another one booked with Barcelona Day tours. They seem to be very popular.
40yearcruiser Posted April 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2019 If you wish to go to Sagrada Familia on your own be sure to buy your tickets online in advance. If you don't have an advance ticket you will find the line very long and slow. The metro has a stop just outside the church so if your hotel is near a metro line it's very easy to go without a tour. If you go on your own you can wander around as long as you like. When you buy your ticket you must specify a date and time and if you want to visit just the sanctuary or also go up in one of the towers. Be sure to allow time to walk around the outside of the church-- it's amazing.
