warburg Posted February 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2019 This Caribbean cruise has suddenly become wait listed in all categories. Living as we do on South Beach, we have taken many cruises like this. This is a first in our experience. I am wondering about the dynamics. Any info would be appreciated. warburg Posted February 2, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Thank you, LHT28, for the quick response. We have never sailed on any ship that was totally booked. This will be a first.

Sounds like you're not doing Oceania's best (long exotic) itineraries where the ship fills very quickly (e.g., partial or whole transpacifics). warburg Posted February 2, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Hello, Flatbush Flyer. Not transpacifics, but plenty of TAs, most recently on Explorer. We chose this cruise because my birthday and our wedding anniversary are the same day, and right in the middle of this cruise. It also happens that a Dom Perignon event is on that day in La Reserve that we are attending. This is our seventh cruise with O,
Nachosdelux Posted February 3, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2019 this cruise had LOTS of open cabins up until a week or so ago. All of a sudden it is sold out. MAybe a partial charter or a computer glitch? Anyone know for sure?
Rare LHT28 Posted February 3, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2019 it is a month away so there probably was a deal offered to TA's There are also some offers for Canadians & Solo rates on Cruise only basis so maybe those from colder areas decided to jump on the deal & get warm

Most cruises on Oceania we have been on have been full or nearly full. Not sure what you mean about dynamics. If you are worried about crowding it is rarely a problem on these ships. The worst crowding is always lunch on embarkation day and also at tendering, which is not a problem on this cruise since there are zero tender ports. Paulchili Posted February 3, 2019 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) Perhaps the OP was worried about the dynamics in case there is a large charter group onboard? That might explain the “sudden” filling of the cruise. Just wondering. Edited February 3, 2019 by Paulchili
edgee Posted February 3, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 3, 2019 Oceania Riviera cruises from now into April are nearly all showing full or almost full.
