Miami: walk from hotel to pier?

Easy, no.  Possible, yes - if you don't mind the traffic, heat, and humidity.  I would spend the $8+ for an Uber but it is your call.

Walking to the ship in Miami is not a good way to start a cruise.

Depending on which terminal you are going to, you can also take the free trolley we have here in Miami. The Coral Way Trolley does go into the port.

Does trolley pick up at MIA airport and go to the port?

Sorry, it does not.

In order to do that you would have to take the train into the Brickell area and then catch the trolley.

Hi Carolyn,

Between Aloft Brickell and Homewood Suites Blue lagoon, which to pick?

Arriving one night 5pm or later.

4/27.

2 persons.

Can book with points or $ at either one.

I would grab Aloft Brickell without a doubt.

Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon is by the airport.

The Aloft here in Brickell is within walking distance to everything in Brickell.  It's on the other side of the train tracks but not by much, a long block. You can walk to Mary Brickell Village, Brickell Citi Centre, many restaurants & bars etc.  Also a Publix grocery store.

Being that you are getting in early, you can actually do something in the evening and start your vacation before your cruise.

It's a destination vs an airport hotel.

If you were arriving at 7:00-8:00 I would suggest Blue Lagoon hotels, but you are getting in early enough to see and enjoy some of Miami - choose downtown.
