Rare Saint Greg Posted March 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2019 (edited) Without a doubt pasta bella. You board on deck 3. What I do is take the atrium staircase to deck 4, walk to the back of the ship, take the aft elevators to deck 11...and you're there. Everyone is going to be using the forward and atrium elevators...nobody will be using the aft elevators. Everyone is going to stop to eat BBQ on deck 5 or burgers on deck 10 or buffet on deck 10...the highest deck with food is always best. Blue cards don't make it that far without stopping. And actually they won't find it for the included lunch until about day 5. Edited March 13, 2019 by Saint Greg

What about a bar, which actually should have been my 1st question haha.

The casino bar will be open. The lido bars will be open. If the lido bar by the aft pool is open it may be less crowded. Alchemy won't open until after the muster drill. Athankfulheart Posted March 14, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2019 Definitely head up to the Italian place. In fact, take the fwd elevator up to 11 and then walk straight to the back, around and into the doors where the elevators are and you will see the entrance tucked in the corner. It is super quiet on embarkation day and the food is yummy. You can walk right down the stairs to the dessert bar too 😃. I love doing this anytime, but it is even better when you are meeting up a group of people !
Joebucks Posted March 14, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 14, 2019 I agree that no one knows about the pasta bar. For me, it's all about what I really have a taste for. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes for tacos or a burger during embarkation. If I'm craving one of those, I'm going to get what I want! maldenmusic Posted March 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2019 Last time on the Dream we ate at the Tandoor at the very back of the ship. We were about the only people there.

We enjoyed the SFS on the Breeze so we got lunch there once on the Dream in Feb. I got crabcakes and my husband lobster rolls. We were the only customers and waited 40 minutes or more for our order. My hubby enjoyed his lobster rolls, but my crab cakes were reminiscent of a patty of tuna salad and tasted horrible. I had gotten fish and chips last time and enjoyed it. We love the italian restaurant at night, but the pasta bar was very average, one and done.
mpdog42 Posted March 14, 2019 #12 Share Posted March 14, 2019 NOLA is a great place to eat lunch in before you set sail, just get a late check in time and take a uber to the French Quarter! Mike

Whatever food is on deck 11 of your ship is going to be the least crowded on embarkation day. On the Dream...which is what the OP asked about, it’s pasta. I think that’s going to be bbq for me next cruise on glory..and that’s what I’ll likely eat on embarkation day. As for the matter of taste. I haven’t eaten at the blue iguana or pizza place much the last few cruises. Maybe once per cruise out of necessity. Looking forward to my upcoming “silver card” 😉😉 cruise on Dream.
Icesk8rReedy Posted March 15, 2019 #15 Share Posted March 15, 2019 Another vote for the pasta place upstairs. I had linguini with clam sauce and it was great. My hubs love it too.

Rare pirate4me2 Posted March 16, 2019 #17 Share Posted March 16, 2019 DH is all about Pasta Bella, and I usually go find him there after I get my Blue Iguana taco salad. The place was empty on embarkation day when he was up there, it’s a great well kept secret!

Maybe that is why folks don’t know about it.
