Late guarantee cabin assignment

Just curious, what is the latest you have gotten a cabin assignment and what was your guarantee and what did you end up with? The latest I previously had was finding out the morning 3 days out on my MM guarantee I had a C. I am now waiting for my cabin on a 20 day San Diego circle Hawaii finish in Vancouver cruise where I have a VH balcony, it is the 3rd day early afternoon and I have heard nothing. I realize I may hear nothing until I board-just curious to hear other peoples' experiences. I am a 4 star if that makes any difference with 2 more cruises booked. Thanks!

Latest we've gotten assignment was about 2 1/2 days out.  Booked a VH or VF and got a VB.

As frequently discussed here, assignments can even come at the pier. And when you get your assignment doesn't mean you get a better or lessor cabin. Each sailing is different, and the needs for moving people around are different.

Star level hasn't seemed to have any influence over the timing or how good an assignment we got. Most of ours have been 11 or 10 days out, and our latest, at 3 days, was not one of the best.
