Concierge - £725pp

Family Veranda - £805pp

Thank you for posting this! Helpful as we are two cruises before you on Beyond and are still pending 🙄
If you don’t mind, which of your offers was accepted?

Hi,

All still pending I’m afraid!

When I won a bid on the Silhouette last year I found out with 3 weeks to go. I guess it’s down to availability. For my sailing, there appears to be a lot of cabins available still. So I imagine I’ll hear by the end of the month/first week of July

Agreed. 7/7 sailing with my wife.

Received email about 2 months ago.

Booked in Ocean View. Given offers of $150 porthole, $200 sunset, $200 edge balcony, $200 concierge.

System would not process bids lower than $240 for sunset and $350 for concierge on the slider however. Placed bids originally at $150 and $210 only for Porthole and Edge respectively as we felt the concierge was a waste and the walk for the sunset rooms is undesirable.

3 days passed by. Both able to adjust. Adjusted both to $180 and $230.

One week passed by. Still able to adjust both. Increased to $255 about 2 weeks ago for Edge Balcony cabin. 4-5 days later changed to PENDING at $255 Edge pp and $180 EXPIRED for Porthole Verandah.

Currently STILL pending. No credit card charge.

Actually concierge not a waste.  You get extra points per day.  Also a special lunch.  The cabins are well located you get some upgrade cabin amenities

I thought MoveUp doesn’t qualify you for more points per day? Also, aren’t gratuities higher as well?

Move Up doesn't give you the extra points, however if you already had gratuities included you won't be charged extra

You will get charged extra for gratuities in a higher grade cabin. IMG_5438.thumb.png.00be19c3946214e071279cea361f7ffb.png

We moved up from verandah to Aqua.  We had included gratuities and weren't charged anything extra for gratuities.

I have a similar extended pending situation. All bids expired except one pending that can’t be modified. So locked in and at their mercy waiting to see if we get the upgrade. Please let us know if/when you get an email or they charge your card. Thanks.

General Comments (offer details, etc.) I am eight days late to this post because of my fun shore excursions in Sicily, Santorini, Mykonos, and Istanbul, but despite the five weak-to-fair (orange-to-yellow) bids I had, they were all given the big thumbs-down, unfortunately.  The most likely reason for all five (yes, five) bids to be rejected was because of zero availability.  The Celebrity Beyond is the newest ship in the fleet, and pretty much no one wants to cancel their vacation on the newest ship in the fleet, so may as well have to be stuck with an IV.  The Edge-Class IV staterooms are narrow that in order to sleep four, you need to pull out the drawer under the sofa for a second sofa bed.  When the drawer is open, there are only around 6 inches between the second sofa bed and the work desk, so an upgrade would have been even better for a family of four.  The upfront price even for the entry-level Sky Suite is unjustifiable for us, being worth 2.5x more than a standard Verandah.  Pre-COVID, when the upgrade price from a balcony to an entry-level full suite was around 75-80% more, it was justifiable for us.  Now, because of the return to cruising, people want to book suites because of the two-to-three-year hiatus of cruising, so they want to spend the money they did not use for those two-to-three years.  Despite the ridiculous prices of suites right now, people are still booking them like hotcakes, which makes me even more mad.  Hopefully, most people will soon find the ever-increasing suite prices to be not worth it, so the price bubble breaks, allowing us to get back to living the suite life.  Even though you do not get the extra Captain's Club points, weak-to-fair MoveUp bids will be our way to earn suites for the time being at reasonable prices.

Updating this. I updated the bids on Friday, and have just recieved an acceptance of the Horizon Suite for £990 total.

Just adding to the above (as I can't seem to edit the post), the offers I had in were:

AquaClass Suite - £480

Celebrity Suite - £470

Sunset Sky Suite - £460

Horizon Suite - £495

Sky Suite - £120

Not sure if it's a coincidence that the highest offer was accepted, but worth keeping in mind. Also worth noting that, at the time of bidding, my previous cabin (aquaclass balcony) was completely sold out, indicating that they've got a lot of demand on that.

When did they reduce the min bids? Do you just keep checking in? I just got first email yesterday and hoping for a drop! My sailing 8/26
