Juneau - How far from the pier?

Really just across the street and steps away...I think once you arrive you'll be surprised at how close everything actually is. We have always been on RCI which docks by the Mt Roberts Tramway. Enjoy Juneau a favorite of ours.

There’s one berth that is about 1 mile from the downtown/tram area, the AJ Dock. It’s not a bad walk on a nice day. They will also have a shuttle that goes back and forth from the ship to the tram area.  Last time we used it, it was $3 a few years ago.

Here is a link to the Juneau cruise schedule which shows where each ship will dock.

If your ship is at the AJ dock which is dock A in the link above you will have quite a walk into town. However the Avis rent a car office is right near there. Princess usually uses the Franklin St. dock which is dock B on the map. It is about a 5-7 minute walk to the tram. Holland America always gets the best dock so they will be at D or E. If a ship has to tender they tender near E so they will be close to downtown.
