Lobster at Bite Into Maine in Cape Elizabeth

Hello, we want to get an Uber to this food truck.  We will be there when it first opens and will take an Uber back to the wharf area.  Questions-

 

How far away is it?  Miles?

 

About how much will it cost?

 

Is it easy to get an Uber from there to the wharf?

It's about 5 miles.  Uber is about $10, taxi about $18 each way.  Haven't been to this food truck, but that taxi bill puts it right into a very pricey lobster roll.  High Roller on Exchange St, just up from the pier used to be a food truck and is now brick and mortar and do a variety of lobster roll type offerings, Eventide Oyster on Commercial St does a very good lobster roll, and Boone's Fish House does a lobster roll with the entire meat of a 1-1/4 lb lobster.

We ate at their truck last year and were not impressed.  They have some interesting "seasoned" lobster rolls but a lobster roll does NOT need seasoning.

Gilbert's has a good lobster roll, right  near dock. Also excellent chowder and place to sit out on a nice day

I've had the Bite Into Maine food truck lobster roll and I agree with others that it's not worth taking a taxi or Uber to get there. That being said, the views from where they park are gorgeous and I was driving my own car so I'm glad I tried it once. They run out of lobster and my group of three were the last ones to get lobster rolls that day!
