I am planning a road trip in Alaska.  One stop will be in Denali Nat'l Park area.  We will be taking the Wildlife Tour into Denali.  Any suggestion on a Hotel that is reasonably priced.  There will be 4 senior adults in our group and we'll need two king size bed rooms.

If you google the Denali Chamber of Commerce you will find a listing of accommodations in the greater Denali area on their website.   For quick access into Denali National Park pay attention to the general location as you will want to consider something in the area of the park entrance or in Healy.

You may also find great variety in the costs based on your date.  We have shuttle reservations for late June this year.  The price differentials between the McKinley Chalets, Denali Princess, Grande Denali, and the Denali Bluffs was rather "interesting."  We have stayed on prior trips at the Chalets, Denali Princess and Grande Denali.  I don't see significant quality differences in the properties,  but the McKinley Chalets was significantly cheaper for the dates we need.

check out the Denali Lakeview Inn in Healy.  We stayed in the High Cloud room that has two king sized beds.  View is wonderful, and it's convenient to Denali without being right at the entrance.

We stayed two nights at the Denali Park Hotel at Healy.  It was very clean and the best part was being able to back our SUV up to the door to our room - making it super easy to unload [and later load] our luggage.  We had a room with two queen beds but they have rooms with king size beds.  It's easy to spot because there are a couple of Alaska Rail Road passenger cars sitting near the highway where their staff lives - the office is also in an Alaska Rail Road car.  It's only about 15 minutes from Denali Park proper and very near several good restaurants - we completely enjoyed the 49th State Brewing steakhouse.  I would absolutely stay there again!

We are doing a similar road trip post cruise (with 4 adults) and decided to rent a cabin in Healy through VRBO. It has multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and a full kitchen, plus a hot tub, and the total cost was significantly cheaper than renting 2 hotel rooms for multiple nights, especially when we can cook our own meals. Something to consider if you have a rental car.
