I found the Marketplace version. I was hoping for the big huge piece like in that picture! We had a great time. I might just have to book again!

Thank you so much for all of your posts!  It is wonderful to see someone with a positive outlook on everything instead of so many negative things to say.  We will be sailing with you Saturday.  We have a party of 44 going, mostly adults with 5 boys ages 10-14.  I've cruised 16 times but never on MSC, we are certainly looking forward to something new.

Thanks to everyone for following along!  I was just about to post last night’s entertainment, but DH is calling me to the hot tub... he never gets into a hot tub, so I have to see this!!! 😂

LOL!  That lasted about two minutes... He says it is too hot, so I am back!

 

Dinner:

 

 They served a very good chicken Waldorf salad.  Unfortunately, the lamb skewers were dry, but the Mahi Mahi was reportedly excellent.  I will try that next week.  For dessert, the chocolate royal cake was our favorite.  It was not the same as the dessert with the same name that they had served in the buffet.  This was more of a layered mousse with a praline crunch.  I kind of wonder if the wrong name had been printed in the menu.

LOVE the review!!  We sail in 25 days! Can you tell me the dress of male passengers on non formal nights?  I am looking at bringing a pair or 2 of dress silk shorts.

also any chance of getting pictures of the nightly menus?

Show: My Life in Music - Excellent!

So, MSC Seaside is where all the singing talent has been hiding out all this time.  33 cruises, and we found the best singing talent on this ship!  The show tonight was absolutely incredible.  The trio of male singers was phenomenal.  The two ladies are good too, but just not in the same category as the men.  I could elaborate, but realize I grew up with a music background and would totally bore this CC audience with technicalities.

I will pay a bit closer attention to the way people dress for the next few nights and get back to you.  Also,  I plan on taking pictures of the menus next week... I got a bit side tracked with all the novelties this week!

Country and Western Night:

After the show, we enjoyed an effectively captivating Country event in the atrium.  From a failed bank heist, to a dual, to excellent special effects on the large screens with “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” tune, this highly energetic activities team had the crowd hooked.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My favorite part was the bar staff participating in the dance! 

 

This 10-minute performance was ended with an invitation to the Country and Western Game show, which was held in the Haven lounge.  It was very well attended, with standing room only.  Again, there was great variety within the game sho, from a sing off to a “name that tune, to another dual showdown.  

 

 

 

Tip:  

If you like Country music, pack your Stetson & Boots, and get ready to boogie on this ship!

Hi APDMOM.  I came across your review by accident as the odd time I'll scan the other cruise lines and see if any interesting reviews.  So was excited when I saw one from you.  Looks like you're having a great time on your cruise.  Would love to hear in the end how you find it compares with Royal (which I know varies by ship).  We always stick with Royal but as above, will often look at others wondering if we should try another line someday. 😊
