sensitive to bleached bromated flour

I cannot eat unbleached, bromated flour. Potassium bromate is a carcinogen that is banned all over the world except the US. When I was in Europe, I could eat everything. I was wondering if the Pride of America, being under American flag, uses American ingredients or if they would be safe for me to eat. I can eat unbleached, or non GMO flour.

Kind of a weird question but it makes a huge difference in what I can safely use.

I hope someone knows the answer. Thanks.

Contact the access desk with your dietary restrictions. https://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising

Onboard, talk with the restaurant managers at each establishment you wish to dine at at least 24 hours in advance about your dietary needs. Failure to do so may result in refusal to serve you. Your health is more important than your hunger.

Try avoid the carcinogenic story.

All NCL ships homeported in US ports provision with US products.

I just checked my pantry. I live in the US. The flour I have in my baking cabinet are

two different store brand flours. Neither has that substance in it. You can ask

what kind of four they use. I agree don't muddy the waters with the substance

causing cancer information. Just tell them you can't eat it.

You might have to go with gluten free items.

I've done that before but if the flour is safe it is a much better tasting menu. GF never as good so researching in advance to see if avoiding that option is possible.

POA is provisioned from Sysco, not sure what their brands are, but they are not the typical store brands, so they may be bromated or not.  As noted above, contact the access desk.  Virtually everything is baked onboard, except the hotdog/burger buns and the bagels, so whatever flour they use will be in all other products.
