Earliest time to book flight home from Miami

For the first time I am using NCL's flight program. They have booked me on an 11:10 am flight out of Miami International. That just seems very early to make it to the airport. I always thought noon was the earliest safe time for a flight home. Please anyone with experience please let me know if I should try and make my flight later.

Thanks for any help

I love flying home from Miami and always book my flight from  12 noon forward just as NCL recommends. I've read that others book their flights shortly after 11:am but choose a little more leisurely transport. It's up to you. Have a wonderful cruise and safe journey home.

We book 10:00 flights with no issues,,,, normally.

But I'm assuming you don't buy the NCL Transfer and instead do self-disembarkation? Because if OP is using NCL transfer with the flight promo, then disembarkation for that group would be around 8 to 8:30 am. and a 10am flight would be cutting it close. But I think 11am would be okay.

I used NCL transfer with the flight promo. We disembarked around 8am. Getting off the ship wasn't too bad. Had to wait on the bus for a while until it filled up. Only about a 15-minute ride to MIA. The bus made 2 stops. First stop was for passengers flying on American Airlines; took a little bit of wait time for the driver to unload their baggage. Second stop was for all other airlines. Then it was a loooong walk to the United Air Lines check-in area. We checked in by around 9:30 am for our 12:50pm flight.

What ship and sailing?  Just off the Breakaway this past Sunday and disembarkation was a total disaster.  Customs clearance was late (past 7:45) and then they had to stop and re-start disembarkation at least twice due to overcrowding issues.  The created a line throughout the center of the ship on deck 7, starting at the front elevators, trailing back through the casino, looping down by the rear elevators and then back out to the front.  We we're in the "walk off" on our own group and didn't get out until 10am.

Admittedly this is the first time I have ever had this issue after MANY cruises on NCL and other lines, but I was very disappointed in the way things were handled (or basically NOT handled) by NCL staff.  It was an unpleasant end to what was a somewhat mediocre cruise for us...

I had a 10:45am flight out of MIA and was worried as well.  I wound up lining up at 6:45am with my luggage and then walked off the ship at 7am was the 3rd person in line at customs and was in a taxi around 7:15am.  Got to the airport around 7:50am.  All that worrying for nothing and I even saved money by booking this early flight.
