Robinhill Posted July 19, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2019 Has anyone else experienced the difference in pricing and ability to assist in price drops when calling the foreign call center rather than getting the american call center? The foreign one never can give me the pricing that it shows online on the website- there are always problems with applying the DEAL or the Flash sales etc. I am always told they cannot combine that with the casino 5% or the other casino discounts yet when i call the call center in the states, they seem to be able to do so. It's frustrating !
sellwingri Posted July 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2019 I never speak with Jamaica call center. I hang up and call back a few minutes later. Last time I called, I got Jamaica 4 times but waited 5 minutes and finally reached Oregon. The foreign call centers work strictly from a script and haven’t got a clue how to handle any questions that aren’t on their script.
cruisegirl1 Posted July 19, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2019 I prefer the American call center when I have done sort of specific question. I have had a few instances when the offshore call center has given me (I believe) wrong pricing/cabin upgrade information in my favor. One I booked right away. The second time, I didn’t book but when I called back 20 minutes later and got the US, I was able to give them the name of the agent who had helped me a few minutes prior and they honored the accommodation/price. sandebeach Posted July 19, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2019 I had a not-so-good experience last week. I called the Casino Call Center to ask about moving my balcony room on Deck 6 up to a balcony on Deck 9. I told him I was aware it was a different category and asked what the upgrade charge would be. I was expecting maybe a $100 difference. When he told me it would cost $1,500 to change the room, I just said No thank you and hung up. I will call back next week. 3red7s Posted July 19, 2019 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2019 How can you tell which location you are reaching? by the accent?
Robinhill Posted July 19, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted July 19, 2019 (edited) sometimes but moreso because sometimes they dont seem to know what i am talking about when i say there is a Deal Nrd discount of $50 or a Maryland Resident discount etc. it also sounds like they are reading a “script” to you rather than actually knowing the product and what they are talking about. SherriZ366 Posted July 20, 2019 #10 Share Posted July 20, 2019 Didn't know that RCCL had a Jamaica call center. If I get an agent outside of the US, they are usually in Guatemala.
