Formal night dresses on Med cruises.

Do ladies wear long dress on Med cruises? I have only done the Caribbean in the past, in the winter and lots of ladies wear long dresses. I wondered if the numbers are so high on the Med summer cruises.

As on all Princess formal nights, regardless of locale,  women wear long dresses, short dresses, knee length dresses, slacks, etc.

Wear what's most comfortable for you. You usually see a nice mix of long dresses and cocktail dresses and even slacks for ladies.

I personally prefer a pair of slacks with a glitzy top for formal nights which can be reused for casual nights as well unless I wear my jeans.

Same here. Comfortable & cuts down on packing.

I wear a dress I bought for $29 (new) that is lightweight, stretchable, super comfortable and doesn’t wrinkle, and a shawl ($10 decades ago off a stall in Florence) that pack together in a tiny packing cube. You can be comfortable and not spend a fortune.

IMHO, men and women tend to dress fancier on European cruises.  If you want to wear a long gown, you won't be the only one.

Yes.   It has been my observation more women in long formal gowns, and men in tuxedos.

Enjoy, and bring your formal wear if you like dressing up.

I love dressing up! if I was going with my husband I wouldn't even have asked the question but I will be with my daughter and teenage granddaughters and I don't want to be the odd one out.

Yes they do wear long dresses.  But you won't be out of place with a short fancy dress or slacks:)
