Port Fees/Taxes Refund

We booked a cruise to Cozumel & Havana on the Paradise.  As we all know, we can no longer go to Havana and the port was changed to Grand Cayman.   We elected to take the $100/pp OBC and stick with the cruise.   However, we paid $231.52 in port fees/taxes for Havana/Cozumel.   If booking today we would pay $99.52/pp in port fees/taxes, a difference of $264.   Does anyone know how and when this is refunded.

Call Carnival or your TA to get it resolved.

I have had small adjustments in the form of OBC on the ship nearly every cruise.  I don't know if they handle it the same way when a port is canceled in advance.

My guess is it will show up on your sail and sign account as a credit. I usually have an amount of a few dollars for this on most cruises. Maybe they will handle it differently since it is a large amount. Or they do as usual and hope you spend it all since it will seem like a windfall to spend 😉

It'll show up when you get on board as a credit to your sign and sail account. I've had it happen almost every cruise

As other posters have stated, it should show on your folio as a credit...specifically refundable credit.  Should you also have non-refundable credit, that should be used first automatically.  If any refundable credit should be left at the end of your cruise, it will be refunded.

Thanks everyone.   I called my TA last night and he said it will be refunded to my account.   At this point, it's becoming a very inexpensive cruise.
