oosterhoff Posted August 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2019 Hello, I am going on a Premier cruise on Carnival in October. Has anyone been & what type of gifts did you get? Also, I am to get casino cash. Last year I just went to the casino cage and they gave me the cash. Does this still apply? Thank you!
coevan Posted August 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2019 posting multiple times with the same question is not going to help you get your answer any quicker. Why would they hand you cash?
oosterhoff Posted August 12, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted August 12, 2019 (edited) I thought maybe someone had new info. I didn't think it would hurt to ask again. They did hand me cash last year, it was the casino cash that I got when I booked a Premier. WPTNGirl Posted August 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2019 I was on a Getaway Cruise on the Valor in May and they gave me my casino credit in cash. I'm hoping they do it again in September on my next Getaway.

Because the ships with the older non-LED S&S units on the slot machines aren't capable of managing a separate casino bank that you can only play with but can't cash out. As other posters mentioned newer ships ARE capable of managing a separate casino bank, so since Horizon is a new ship, you will receive FunPlay. PA Dutchman Posted August 12, 2019 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2019 You get all kinds of Premier cruise fun play I always get between $500 and $1500 fun play . Right now I have a Premier cruise booked for Jan on the Horizon with $1500 fun play. They give it to you in cash. I had a $1000 fun play on the Pride last Jan. What ever is in your VIFP list offer, everybody is not the same its what you played in the past. It has nothing to do with the size of the ship. oosterhoff Posted August 12, 2019 Author #10 Share Posted August 12, 2019 PA Dutchman, Thanks for your response. I keep getting told it will be an on board credit. Where did you find out it would be cash? We were on the Magic Premier last year and got the cash from the cashier. My offer is for $500, but it doesn't say how I will get it. Thank you!! sc4125 Posted August 12, 2019 #11 Share Posted August 12, 2019 I have received cash and FunPlay. The offers in the past were almost always cash, but it is true that in the last year most of my offers were for FunPlay rather than cash. That being said, on my cruise on the Paradise last month (not a Premier, but a casino offer) I was suppose to receive FunPlay. I went to the cashier because the $$ didn't show on a Casino Bank. They ended up giving me the offer in cash. I didn't realize this had to do with the ship's capabilities, but it makes sense. I know when I was on the Miracle last year, the $$ showed as a Casino Bank when I registered my S&S casino account. I never worry about whether it's cash or FunPlay because I know that I will be spending at least that much in the casino (lol). I have a Premier booked on the Breeze next month. Both my sister & my offers are for FunPlay - not cash.
coevan Posted August 12, 2019 #12 Share Posted August 12, 2019 I'm having a tough time with the cash vs Fun Play. Why would Carnival give anyone cash? They do not have to gamble and use the cash on shore? 🤔
