Help Tipping Info for Australia and New Zealand

Don't tip in New Zealand, it is not necessary.  A few restaurants will have a jar on the counter where you can leave a tip if you want to but you don't have to.  Tipping is not our way of life here and we have never tipped in our home country.  Keep your tips money and spend it on sightseeing.  Enjoy

 

Have you ever asked what  happens to the money in those jars?   Once was told that the money would go to buying a new coffee machine for the cafe,  another response was that the staff member had no  idea what happens with the "tip" money.

 

As said above, it is not necessary to tip in New Zealand.
